The board meeting of South Asian Football Association (SAFF) in Sri Lanka made a decision to host SAFF Club Cup which will be of 8 clubs from 7 different SAFF nations whereas a club more will be from rhe host nation. The venue and date of the Championship is yet to decide and will be announced in next meeting. Nevertheless, the meeting confirmed the date of SAFF Suzuki Cup 2017 which is being hosted by Bangladesh in Dhaka. It will begin from December 5 and will be concluded in 5 of Janauary. The participation of Afghanistan is in dilemma.
The next meeting is scheduled in Goa, India which will also decide the host and date of SAFF Women's Championsip, SAFF U16 and SAFF U19.
